You Can Help

There are several ways in which you can support us!

1. Financial
  • Call or email and ask to be added to our mailing list and take part in our campaigns.
  • Donations at work through the United Way can be specified (even if they are not part of the United Way list of charities.) Won’t you consider specifying the Capuchins of Central Canada?
  • Many employers offer a matching dollar program where they match dollar for dollar an employee’s donation to their favorite charity. In most cases the employee is responsible to inquire about this. Why not ask today?
  • Regular monthly donations through a pre-authorized payment plan can easily be set up with your banking institution.

The Capuchin Legacy Program

As Christians, one of the most important tasks we have is that of faithful stewardship. This is beautifully expressed in St. Francis’ “Canticle of the Creatures” which gives thanks for our interdependent relationship with all of God’s creation, of which each of us is a part. The same spirit also finds a more contemporary resonance in a quote by the Venerable Fr. Solanus Casey, OFM, Cap (d. 1957) who stated, “The only science that gives purpose to every other science is the science of religion – the science of our happy relationship with, and our providential dependence on God and our neighbor.” In the Gospel of Luke (Luke 12:15-21), Jesus also calls us to faithful stewardship of that which has been entrusted to our care.

One of the faithful acts of stewardship that you can do is to make certain that you have a current will. A will is one of the most important documents in life. It carries your love for family and friends and for those who come after you. It is a loving remembrance for others and your love is returned a hundred-fold in your reaching out and assuring new life for others.

You can remember the Capuchins of Central Canada and help to ensure the good works of our various ministries by making a bequest in your will. The legal wording of a bequest is as follows:

“I give, devise and bequest the sum of $_____.__ to the Capuchins of Central Canada.”

Not only can you leave a gift of financial remembrance but gifts of stocks, bonds or property may also be given through your will.
